Not one drop as I remembered for weeks. A big freeze is coming. It is going to cover most of the United States. It will be here by Wednesday. That is six days away. My newly planted shrubs pine away for water, and the water came today.

Looking but rarely seeing hearing but rarely listening Touching but rarely feeling Smelling but rarely sniffing Eating my fruit but rarely truly tasting Living but rarely celebrating Dying but rarely mourned Born again but rarely truly born Standing centuries but rarely asked about my past Rooted deeply spreading through the grass shedding bark and limb and branch and yet continuing to climb always available always giving always groaning to be free

I took this picture yesterday because it was beautiful to see the food that serves to keep this body, mind and spirit going. I am thankful.

I have the awesome opportunity of working with this wood to create serving trays for a wood worker in Valley Mills, Texas. When you can discover great wonders of pecan or walnut under the wear and tear of these old pallets, it is a delight to the eyes and a strain on the planner.

I am working on a prototype ladder and mini bed frame... I like the concepts. It is time to purchase other equipment to clean it up and round it out... To see both pictures, click on story. What else can we make? Blessings~

There are five references to aloe in the Bible: John 19:39-40, Numbers 24:6, Psalms 45:8, Proverbs 7:17, Song of Solomon 4:14. We were asked during life group, "What plant best  describes you today?" My response was the aloe plant. Tough and intimidating on the outside, but healing balm is on the inside.  What plant best describes you today?

Because I am behind on my three creative pieces a day, I have included more Fence row surrounding my property in need of painting. I almost got stung many times by the ants taking this photo.

This is the most persistent pecan tree I have on my property. She thunders into the distant sky in this shot. She loves where she is planted and produces the best pecans of all the 5 trees surrounding me.

This fence railing and post is in need of paint. It has been a few years. Fighting off sloth spirit...

Along the railing of my porch, these leaves gathered. They are only here but a moment. Such Grace and Beauty for the day to elevate my spirit with their presence. How lovely it is to get to witness this quiet expression of life's never ending cycle.

This is a rose that started to bloom before the temperature began to drop into the teens. I took this photo this morning, 1.3.2018 as a part of my three creative projects a day commitment. Even though the weather is an enemy to life this day, this rose persists and intends on being seen!
